    The Sales Specialist Building Supply has operating responsibility, and is accountable to the Building Supply Sales Manager for operating in the defined market within the scope assigned by his/her Manager. He/She is responsible for soliciting orders for assigned products, for achieving approved sales objectives, for customer training, for customer relations, for expense control and for contributing specialized knowledge to market planning.

    Responsibilities

    • Meet or exceed all established sales objectives and goals for assigned territory
    • Execute the business unit’s sales strategy through specialized working knowledge of tesa solutions
    • Provide technical assistance, service, and application advice for customers within defined markets
    • Must be available to assist end-user on various shifts as necessary in developing standard operating procedures for customer application based on tesa recommended best practices
    • Develop and maintain excellent customer and distributor relationships in defined market
    • Report required field sales activity through company specified CRM system
    • Plan and organize effective use of time to meet the demands of the territory objectives
    • Effective presentation of our value proposition to the customer
    • Partner & collaborate with all company business units to find the best solutions for the customer
    • Maintain behaviour, appearance, and standard of performance in line with the company’s Code of Conduct, policies and procedures
    • Other responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and 3 – 5 years relevant sales experience preferred
    • Strong understanding of value-added solution selling
    • Experience selling solutions to manufacturing end users
    • Ability to understand technical requirements of customers applications
    • Experience specifying products with architects and engineers in a plus
    • Understanding of Architectural Panels, and Commercial Window Modules is a helpful
    • Willing and able to travel regionally – approximately 60% time
    • Basic knowledge of tapes & adhesives is a plus
    • Multi-cultural understanding is a plus
    • Must possess current and valid driver’s license
    • Physically able to lift boxes up to 30 lbs. in weight
    • Proficient in use of computers to include but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite as well as ability to use Customer Relationship Management software programs
