  • Overview

    The Inside Sales Associate is in regular contact with the customers designated as Inside Sales accounts for the purpose of achieving agreed upon sales objectives. At the same time, the Inside Sales Associate is responsible to actively acquire new accounts via outbound campaign calling. He/she communicates to with Sales Specialists, Sales Managers and marketing / Product Managers. He/she handles pricing quotes and inquires for designated and potential new customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, increase and maintain existing customers via telephone and e-mail
    • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
    • Execute sales strategy and sell the assigned products effectively to increase the Company’s market position. Apply superior knowledge and skill to this selling task
    • Build and maintain pipeline of new opportunities
    • Understand customer needs and requirements; research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
    • Close sales and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual quotas
    • Plans and organizes time to maintain a satisfactory call rate frequency and to continuously build business new opportunities to meet objectives
    • Cooperates with Marketing/Product Managers and Sales Managers, on activities leading to increased profitable sales. Recommend marketing programs and policies to achieve Company objectives
    • Utilizes Customer Resource Management software to track calls, capture customer data, competitive activity and manage customer specific pricing
    • Proactively suggest enhancements and changes that will positively affect the service level that the customer is receiving

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • Previous experience in outbound telephone sales to include cold calling is required
    • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment
    • Prior experience with Customer Resource Management tools such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.com.
    • Excellent PC skills to include Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Prior use of Cisco Phone System a plus
    • Technical background in Industrial Applications is preferred but not a requirement.
    • Able and willing to travel up to 5-10%
    • Opportunity for future advancement into Field Sales is possible, but not a requirement.
