    This position will be responsible for processing payroll, managing direct deposits, benefits withholding, payroll deductions, garnishments and leaves, flexible spending accounts, federal and state payroll tax deposits and returns, federal payroll summaries, preparing and releasing W-2 statements, wage and hour law compliance, and paid leave, vacation, holiday and sick time reporting.

     

    This position will also provide support to the accounting team. Responsibilities include (but not limited to) Time and Expense Reports, general Accounting and Reporting, incorporate accounting fundamentals, and prepare and apply accounting standards when needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the preparation and processing of multiple payroll (weekly, bi-weekly) for more than 200 employees, in coordination with Human Resources; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets.
    • Review with HRIS Administrator overall changes to ensure four-eyes principle is in place for accuracy and compliance
    • Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, budget and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. labor “home” work, overtime, leave balances, head count, retirement, contributions, deductions, etc.
    • Handle administration of the electronic timekeeping system. Setup each employee, validate programs for each employee’s schedule, and adherence to FLSA; monitor submission of approved timesheets, ensure valid data transfers to/from payroll
    • Administer Expat and Impat payroll, process taxes, prepare W-2’s, in coordination with HR and other areas of Finance
    • Administer all payroll needs and preparations for processing bonuses, commissions, merit increases, allowances, etc.
    • Partner closely with HR; attending staff meetings and other meetings as necessary
    • Ensure funds are in accounts to properly support payroll; ensuring threshold amounts are managed properly when processing payroll
    • Support Canadian payroll through the use of third party vendor
    • Other accounting duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of Payroll Office performing all payroll functions
    • Knowledge of Industry Standard Payroll Practices
    • Experience with Paycor Payroll systems (nice to have)
    • Working knowledge of 401K, HSA, FSA, and Benefit deduction/contribution administration
    • Education or Experience in Accounting is preferred
